Our 2009 concert series is now underway! Mark your calendars now for all our remaining concerts! From jazz to oldies, classic rock to the blues, we have something for everyone! Load up grandma and all the kids, pack a picnic dinner, your dancing sandals, and your camera and join us at Sunset Beach, Tarpon Springs' best-kept secret for Music on the Beach!
At each one of our concerts, there will be buried treasures for the kids provided by the Tarpon Springs Recreation Division, as well as a monthly drawing for a special prize from our 2009 Corporate Sponsor, Fruits Real Estate Services. As another special bonus for those of you who attend regularly, the Recreation Division will be offering a "loyalty punchcard program" -- visit the Recreation Division's table to get your card at the first concert, and have it punched at each concert you attend throughout the season. In November, all cards with 8 or more punches will be placed in a drawing to receive a gift basket filled with special items from local merchants, worth $100 or more! Don't miss out on your chance to win!

A live parrot and a dancing banana (you had to be there!) gave this week's concert a lively Key West-like vibe. One of our crowd-favorite bands, the De Lei'ed Parrots, played great music -- Johnny Cash, Steve Ray Vaughan, Bob Marley, and of course tons of Jimmy Buffet -- while people (and parrots and bananas) got up to dance and watch yet another amazing sunset. This one-of-a-kind concert and the De Lei'ed Parrots reminded everyone that it is always five o'clock somewhere!
